My wife and I went to the Stadium for our anniversary last year. I saw a t-shirt I wanted, but she wouldn't let me buy it, because she knew I'd wear it out in Boston ...
"There is no curse - your team just sucked for 86 years"
I liked that one. :)

Welcome
Living in Boston, I'm always assailed by rabid Red Sox fans who ask (not so nicely) "How can you root for the Yankees?" Well, I grew up in the New York area, and since I was a little kid, I watched the Yankees with my Dad. Some of my earliest baseball memories were of the 1977 and 1978 championship teams. I came to Boston for college in the late 80s, and continued to follow my team, even though that was pretty hard to do in those days. My response back to the Boston fans is "If you moved to New York, would you become a Yankees fan?" This usually results in a lot of cursing, but then they admit the logic and just agree to disagree.
I'm starting this site to discuss the Yankees, and also the amusing things I hear and see, being a Yankees fan in Boston. I subscribe to the MLB Extra Innings service, so I can watch most of the games here, and usually make it to a few live games at the Stadium over the course of the season. I also tend to watch some of the Sox games, since they are on in High Def, and it's fun to root against them. I'll also make some comments on those games.
Enjoy, and feel free to comment - looking forward to the season!
